We are shocked by the senseless violence that only incites fear and hatred, and certainly brings no solution. Let’s stand together for peace! Let’s show that we, the majority, speak the language of love and togetherness, not the language of hatred and violence.

Last Saturday evening Team XpatLoop and friends attended the 'Big Budapest Burns' Supper - complete with the “piping in” of authentic haggis. We enjoyed a 'full-Brigadoon' kind of evening - with singing and dancing, poetry and music. A wonderful taste of Scotland in Hungary, and all for charity!

The Hungarian Red Cross, in cooperation with a chain store, has collected 34 tonnes of goods it will distribute at Christmas among people and families in need, the organisation said on Thursday.
British Annual Remembrance Ceremony, Solymár, 14 November

The Annual Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday 14 November. The traditional service and wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the Commonwealth War Cemetery of Solymár at 10:55. Everybody is welcome to attend this ecumenical service.
